When you see exercises and they say "works your butt" what does it exactly do for your butt? Last time I asked a question on here, everyone said you cant change the way your butt looks. So why do all these exercises say you can and how come people that were fat or chubby have nice butts now? help please.
|If you are wanting to make your butt more firm, you should focus on strengthening the Gluteus Maximus muscles, which can be done with lunges and squats. If you want to shed fat from your rear end, cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise is the key, such as running and stair stepping. The stair stepper will give you a little of both, but mostly aerobic.|

Lay on your side and bend your knees in to make your thighs perpendicular to the upper half of your body. Then lift the top leg up and dowm however many times you want[make sure it keeps the same form all the way through].I reccomend about 30. Repeat on the other side.

Hello all, Does butt exercises really work???? I have no booty and Im trying to lift it to give it a better appearance. I know I am doing the exercises correctly but Im not seeing any results. I do about 200 leg lifts every other day. Ive been doing it about two months.
|You need to do a bunch of exercises. Work a bunch of muscles in your butt. I used to be a gymnast, and I must say, I had an AMAZING booty (I miss it, now xD). We did a lot of butt exercises, and it really helped.|
You should do a bit of running, and jogging. Also, you should try "stairs" at a local stadium (you basically run up and down the stairs, all the way across the seating area, and then start over). Do maybe 2 or 3 laps of that.
Try "fire hydrants" and "raise the roofs". For a fire hydrant, you basically get on your hands and knees, and lift your leg to the side, like a dog. Do about 15-25 of these, each leg. For a raise the roof, it's basically the same thing as a fire hydrant, only you are lifting your leg towards the back and up, trying to make the bottom of your foot parallel to the ceiling.
Try "pike ups" and "straddle ups". For a straddle up, sit on the floor in a straddle position, put your hands in front of you (near your thighs) and lift your legs up. Try not to bend your legs, and try not to have your hands too far out. For a pike up, do the same thing, only with your legs straight out in front of you.
I forgot what it's called, but you do this walk thing. Make your steps a bit larger than they'd normally be, and each step, go down and try to touch your back knee to the floor very gently. Do a bunch of these.
If you can get someone to sit on you, or something (while on the side of a bed, that sort of thing) it'd help a lot for this exercise. Basically, lay facedown on the bed with your legs hanging off at a 90 degree angle (or as close as you can get without having your feet hit the floor). Whild someone is sitting on you, you'll lift your legs as high as you can get them. Do about 15-25 of these.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "leg lifts". There are so many different kinds, and not too many I know of that work your butt.

Also, you can have the strongest glutes in the world, but if they're hidden under a layer of fat (and cellulite), nobody will see them. So you need to get rid of fat too (which takes care of cellulite as well). Look for specific butt workouts, i.e. www.firmbuttexercises.com/workout ... and others.

Hello:) I am a 5'3 girl that weighs 124 pounds. I'm a dancer and I run 2-3 miles everyday accompanied with 200 sit ups, 130 squats with a 20 pound weight, and some butt exercises. But for some reason I can't get rid of certain "dimples"...it's so frustrating! I'm willing to do hard work outs/and or complicated exercises. Any suggestions?

Regardless of your leg, butt, hip, thigh and tummy goals from fat/flab/cellulite reduction to firming, slimming, building, toning, lifting and sculpting. The “right combination” of exercise variables will give you much better results in a shorter amount of time. I am a 5.7 and 25 years old and a month ago I weigh 147lbs although about a year ago I weighed 188lbs. Stand up straight, feet parallel.
Lift up one leg (say, the right first) and make a slight bend at the knee. Keep the leg parallel to the left leg, but lifted and slightly bent.
With the right hand, bend over and touch the left foot.
Stay as straight and aligned as possible, and contract your core as you bend.
Do 15 reps on the right leg, then switch to the left, and do 15 more.
If you do it several times a day (waiting in line, chillin at home, at the gym, etc.) you will definitely see and feel results.
Work that booty, girl.
