Teen pregnancy has always been around, and always will be - seems as if however the rate is drastically increasing. My opinion is, is that while it was irresponsible of them, it's not my place to judge or criticize them. We all make mistakes, and it comes out in all different forms. Some more severe than others, but no one is perfect. And that is not to say the baby is a mistake, just the act of safety and responsibility/precautions.

Some girls have sex to fit in with their peers, some feel pressured, and some just feel they are ready. A lot of times people act carelessly, teens and adults, and choose not to use protection because it's not available at the time (no condom), and just figure one time won't hurt. One time leads to two, and two leads to more. They think that since it has happened yet, its probably never going to, kind of a vicious cycle. Then there are couples whose birth control methods fail. Which is unfortunate as unplanned pregnancies can be scary, but at the very least they did make an effort.

There are lots of reasons. Society as a whole generally puts forth the image that having sex with anyone you date (and even people who you aren't in a relationship with) is perfectly ok. Naturally, this message gets passed on to the younger crowd as well. Then you combine this with parents who let them run free and do whatever they want at any age, and you get little guys going out and having sex because society says it's ok, and mommy and daddy aren't stopping them or even teaching them that it's wrong.

-Is there pressure to have sex so young? Yeah, of course. Especially if your partner is forcing or manipulating you into having sex with he/she. Eg: "I love you" when really they just want sex and the victim is manipulated and does it, so therefore regretting it later on. Also, from the media and television programs. I watch Gossip Girl & I have to admit, they make it look so easy & also they make it look like it's cool to have sex at a young age. It's not like this in reality, obviously, but some people think it is.

Question about young teen sex and pregnancies?
I have a question about teen pregnancies regarding guyren and teens between 12-15, 1st off for that age group I noticed alot of guys asking "I am pregnant and scared to tell my parents" If guys are scared to tell there parents knowing when they have sex that pregnancy can occur then why put yourselves in that position, my son is in the 5th grade and there is a 12 year old girl in his class who is about 6 months pregnant its extremly sad to see that. I understand things happen but why so young?
